SCEIS Requisitioning, Purchasing and Receiving Goods and Services with SRM7.2

This group of three online courses—SRM200C, SRM200A, SRM200G—presents the complete process of using the SCEIS SRM Shopping Cart system to purchase and track goods and services.

Participants will become familiar with creation of a Shopping Cart, approval of a Shopping Cart, and recording receipt of the ordered goods or services. Users should complete one or more of the three courses as determined by their system security roles.

SCEIS Shopping Cart Creator

The Shopping Cart Creator course covers the process of creating a shopping cart to requisition and purchase goods and services. It is intended for users with the role of Shopping Cart User.

Participants will become familiar with how to create a shopping cart using a Contract, NIGP or Catalog Search, using various account assignments, and how to add and replace an approver. Participants will also become familiar with how to create a shopping cart for consumption of goods from inventory.

SCEIS Shopping Cart Approver

The Shopping Cart Approver course covers the process of approving an SRM Shopping Cart. It is intended for users with the role of Shopping Cart Approver.

Participants will become familiar with how to approve, reject, or change a shopping cart and how to manage a substitute approver.

SCEIS Goods Receiver

The Goods Receiver course covers the process of recording the delivery of ordered goods or services. It is intended for users with the role of Goods Receiver.

Participants will become familiar with recording the receipt of ordered goods or services and tracking movement into internal delivery.

SCEIS Purchasing Process

This course covers the purchasing process in SCEIS for both non-inventory agencies and inventory agencies. The course is intended for users with the role of Buyer who create purchase orders.

Participants will become familiar with purchase order document types and understand how to create, change, display and add conditions, such as freight, to purchase orders. Participants will also become familiar with how to purchase items to replenish inventory, including creating source lists and agreements, and assigning material numbers.

SCEIS Bidding Processes and Overview of Contract Management

This course covers the process of strategic purchasing in the SRM 7.2 system and provides an overview of contract management. It is intended for users with the role of Buyer whose responsibilities include solicitations, small and complex.

Participants will become familiar with the procedure for a purchasing manager to redistribute work to Buyers. Participant will also become familiar with the following functions:

  • Using source selection document types and using Document Builder to create terms and conditions of a solicitations
  • Creating and evaluating solicitations
  • Reviewing and accepting bids that are submitted online
  • Entering surrogate bids
  • Making awards by creating a purchase order or by creating and publishing an award statement and subsequent contract

This course covers in detail the processes and transactions used to create and administer contracts in SCEIS. It is intended for users with the role of Buyer who create and manage contracts.

SCEIS Purchasing System Updates for Vendors

This course covers the SCEIS online purchasing and bidding system from the perspective of vendors. It is intended for individuals or businesses who provide or who want to provide goods or services to the State of South Carolina.

Participants will become familiar with the SCEIS vendor environment, and with using the SCEIS system to find and respond to bid requests.
